Hello, I'm Justin!

I grew up watching my mom dream of a home we could call our own. After my father passed away, she enrolled me in the Big Brother Little Brother program, where at eight years old I was paired with a land developer who opened my eyes to the world of building and community. From framing houses as a teenager to decades in real estate and helping families with mortgages, I’ve always believed a home is more than a structure — it’s a place for families to grow, thrive, and dream.

Justin’s Key to Home Life is my way of sharing that knowledge. Here you’ll find practical tips, insider insights, and carefully chosen tools to help you buy, sell, renovate, upgrade with smart tech, or simply enjoy everyday living — from cooking to gadgets — so you can create the home life you’ve imagined.

My Story

I was five years old when my father passed away. My mom, the most amazing woman I’ve ever known, suddenly found herself raising two kids alone. She dreamed that one day my younger sister and I would have a house of our own — a safe, warm place filled with memories — but she didn’t have the means to make that dream a reality. Even then, her dream became my compass.

Wanting me to have a positive role model, she enrolled me in the Big Brother Little Brother program. At eight years old, I was matched with a Big Brother who happened to be a land developer, someone who built not just houses but entire communities. On weekends I would tag along as he showed me parcels of land, blueprints, and how neighborhoods come to life. That’s where my passion for homes began — standing on dusty lots, imagining what families would one day cook in their kitchens or plant in their backyards.

By high school I was no longer just watching. I started as a laborer carrying wood for custom home framers, then worked my way up to actually framing the homes. I spent summers in landscaping crews learning how outdoor spaces become living rooms under the sky. Later I moved into selling new homes and real estate — and even into providing mortgages so families with less-than-perfect credit could still reach their dream of ownership.

Those early lessons shaped how I approach everything. I insist on working only with builders who meet strict standards and allow true customization. I’ve spent years influencing how homes look and function — from exterior design choices to interior finishes, from better wiring for mesh Wi-Fi to integrating smart devices that actually make life easier. I’m endlessly fascinated by how a home can bring comfort and joy: the right kitchen layout can make cooking with family a delight; the right gadgets and networks can turn a chaotic day into a smooth one; the right design touches can make everyday living feel special.

More than anything, I believe a home is far more than a roof, four walls, and a floor. It’s the stage where families grow, thrive, and dream; where ordinary days become cherished memories and aspirations take root.

That’s why I created Justin’s Key to Home Life — not as a sales platform but as a resource. Through the blog, YouTube channel, and curated tools, I share what I’ve learned so that others can make informed, confident decisions about their own homes. Whether you’re dreaming of buying, selling, renovating, upgrading with smart tech, or just creating a better everyday life through cooking, devices, and design, my hope is that you’ll find ideas here that help unlock the life you imagine inside your own front door.
